Company Formation
There are two standard approaches to establishing a limited liability company (SIA) in Latvia: starting a new company (ideal for individual shareholders) or purchasing a customized shelf company (ideal for corporate shareholders).
We offer remote services for both options, with our legal team assisting in setting up your new limited liability company (SIA) or other business form in Latvia without the need for a visit.

We manage all documentation and oversee the entire process, eliminating the need for a trip to Latvia or a share capital payment transfer. We gather all necessary information via email, usually requiring a preferred company name, a copy of your passport, and contact details, and handle the rest from there.
Corporate taxation. CIT 0% In Latvia, corporate income tax (CIT) has been set at 0% since 2018 for profits retained within the company (e.g., for investments). Upon profit distribution, CIT is payable following the 20/80 rule, where the net amount is multiplied by 20%/80% to calculate the CIT.
Fast Company Setup: 2-5 Days. Your Latvian company can be established within 2-5 business days (subject to registry processing time) once we receive the necessary signed documentation from you. The main requirements include at least 1 shareholder and 1 director, with no limitations on citizenship or residency. A secretary is not required.
Virtual Registered Office. A local registered company office address in Latvia is mandatory. We offer a virtual office service that includes collecting and forwarding postage to your email. Additional options comprise local telephone and fax numbers, eliminating the need for a physical office.
Banking in Latvia. We collaborate with multiple Latvian banks to facilitate efficient opening of a business bank account for your company in Latvia. Alternatively, we can assist with online setup through a payment service provider.
Accounting and Payroll. Our accounting department provides bookkeeping and tax advisory services. Annual submission of financial statements, monthly filing of VAT returns and social tax declarations are required. The VAT registration threshold stands at €40,000 in sales revenue per annum.
An added advantage. Registering your company in Latvia with NXM-consulting gives you the opportunity to obtain a residence permit. With a Latvian residence permit, you can travel freely within the Schengen area for up to 90 days within a six-month period. Holders of Latvian residence permits, along with their family members, are entitled to work, study, and access medical services in Latvia.
